Our Top Needs
Funding

Volunteers deliver over 150 individually wrapped meals weekdays at lunch. With the increase in number of individuals served, there is an urgent need to develop a steady source of funding.
Money donated goes directly to pay for a client's meal who otherwise cannot pay for themselves.
Drivers

One Good Meal currently has 12 routes with an average of 10-15 meals per route. Drivers need their own vehicle and are encouraged to engage in brief but friendly conversation with clientele.
Time commitment for one route per week is about 1.5 - 2 hours between 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Servers

One Good Meal relies on volunteers to prep and serve up the meals into To-Go containers, and ready the delivery containers.
Volunteer with a friend or bring in a group or organization such as scouts, mom's groups or corporate team to give back to the community.
Time commitment for one day a week is generally 1 hour between 10am - 11am.
Bakers

One Good Meal relies on volunteers to bake the 150+ desserts that are delivered with each meal.
Bakers bake, portion, and individually package cookies, brownies, or other desserts. Sugar free options are welcomed as well.
Email OneGoodMealinfo@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer!

Ways to Give
There are many ways that you can help One Good Meal. Volunteering your time and talent, donating money, or participate in our of our fundraising events! Take a look at all of the opportunities to give!
Donations!

One time or recurring donations provide us the ability to pay for food or supplies to keep our organization running!
Weekday Volunteering!

One Good meal needs at least 15 - 20 people each day to assist in the preparation and delivery of meals. Volunteer to serve in the kitchen to prepare the meals or to deliver the meals.
You can expect to spend about 2 hours between 10am and 12:30pm on the day you volunteer. You can sign up for one day a week or multiple days if you are available!
Bakers!

Love to bake but don't like to keep all of the extras at home?! One Good Meal is always looking for people to bake or make desserts to send with our meals. We need around 150-160 desserts each day, some of which need to be sugar free. Any number of desserts is helpful, we have a freezer to store any extras, for future delivery.
Bakers are asked to individually wrap their desserts in zip-top baggies (pies and cupcakes don't work so well) and bring them to Martin Lutheran Church during hours of operation: Monday - Friday 10am - Noon.
Circle of Caring!
One Good Meal’s “Circle of Caring” provides members of our community the opportunity to directly assist one or more individuals who cannot afford to pay for their meals. You can help provide meals for someone for any number of weeks, months, or even a whole year. Your contribution is used solely for direct assistance.
Please consider helping someone receive the assistance they need by becoming a member of our “Circle of Caring" program.
